We are seeking a talented and motivated 3D Rendering Artist to join our creative team in Mumbai. As a 3D Rendering Artist, you will play a crucial role in simulating photo-realistic shading and lighting for various projects. Your expertise in shading, lighting, rendering, and basic compositing will contribute to the visual quality and overall look of our projects.

Eccentric’s Mission

We are building a Showroom-like experience in a virtual world where a vehicle buyer

  • Can take a 3D walkthrough of all models/variants/trims on sale
  • Can customize the vehicle and see exactly how it looks like and how much it will cost
  • Can take a ‘Virtual Consultation’ with a sales agent in the virtual world (some like to call it Metaverse)

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with the creative team to understand the artistic and technical requirements of each project.
  • Simulate and create photo-realistic shading and lighting that aligns with the project's creative vision and requirements.
  • Utilize software tools such as Blender and optional knowledge of Maya to execute shading, lighting, and rendering tasks effectively.
  • Modelling where tweaking of models could be required.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to enhance the visual appeal of projects.
  • Integrate feedback from clients, supervisors, and team members to refine the shading and lighting elements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work within project deadlines.
  • Communicate and collaborate with artists from other departments involved in the project, such as modellers & Texture Artists.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current industry trends and techniques related to shading, lighting, and rendering.
  • Assist in basic compositing tasks to seamlessly integrate shading and lighting elements into the final output.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to shading, lighting, and rendering, and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain organized file structures and adhere to Company workflows and guidelines.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new tools and techniques to improve efficiency and quality of work.

What we seek

  • Proficiency in shading, lighting, and rendering techniques to achieve photo-realistic visuals.
  • Strong knowledge of software tools such as Blender, and optional familiarity with Maya.
  • Basic compositing skills to integrate shading and lighting elements into final shots.
  • Creative flair and an eye for detail to enhance the visual appeal of projects.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members from various disciplines.
  • Ability to understand and incorporate feedback from clients and supervisors.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues related to shading, lighting, and rendering.
  • Up-to-date with industry trends and techniques in the field of 3D visualization.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage files, assets, and project deadlines effectively.

Good to have knowledge

  • Technical know-how on CAD or Engineering drawings. Open, convert and manoeuvre the CAD pertaining to the file extension
  • Retopology in-line with the gaming pipeline
  • Shading and Texturing with unwrapping and Map generation using baking techniques so as to make the model look good, yet keep it light
  • Material generation to create tile-able textures
  • Photoshop skills
